It was a dark and stormy night...
Skippy G Dawg has been a beloved family pet for many years. He is one of
the most wonderful dawgs we've ever had the pleasure of sharing our
lives with. When we are sad, Skippy always seems to be able to cheer us
up. He is very good at making all the sad thoughts and feelings go away.
Skippy loves to run wild - when we let him. He has the uncanny ability
to jump very high. Almost higher than you think would be physically
possible. He's a small dog, so you would think his natural abilities
would be limited. Sometimes when he's chasing a squirrel or ripping
apart an old sock he forgets where he's at and manages to get himself
lost. Then we have to go looking for him. Sometimes he is very hard to
find, and we think he may actually have the intelligence to hide from
us.
Little Skippy is a very clean dawg. We never find shedding hair or
"accidents" on the carpet. Someone has suggested he must clean up after
himself and that he lets himself out when needed. It's kind of hard for
him to do that here at Skippy Central after all, because we don't have a
doggie door.
Skippy used to bark at the UPS guy and the paperboy during their
appointed rounds, but now he just sits quietly by the front door when
they pass by without making a peep. He has been known to pick up a gun
if he feels threatened, although we've never actually seen Skippy fire
off a shot. Sometimes just knowing that the dog has a gun is enough to
scare off a wood-be intruder. I mean, how you react if a dog was drawing
down on you?
Skippy does not like cats. It seems like an inbred attitude or
something. No matter how we counsel this dawg, he insists on basically
going nuts when a cat invades his space. I know some of the little fuzz
balls are cute, but Skippy will not resist the urge to have them "over
for lunch" if you know what I mean.
SkippyDawg is a fairly picky eater. But you never find any scraps if you
happen to offer up one of his favorite foods. Of course he occasionally
likes a nice frisky squirrel or fuzzy cat for dinner, but he will not
ever turn down a yummy Skippy treat. He loves a gravy type of barbeque
sauce we've developed here at Skippy Labs that we like to call "Skippy
Sauce."
Skippy does not like going out at night, so he usually ends up sleeping
on his favorite couch. Sometimes we catch him curling up with his pipe,
slippers and a good book - and we just laugh.
Actually Skippy is not a real dog. Just something in the webmaster's
imagination. He may be invisible, but he's a good boy!
Woof! Woof!
