TOPIC: Vacation…
Posted: 7/15/2010, 11:14 a.m. EDT
I'm thinking about vacation. Thinking about one is what usually do
instead of actually taking one. I figure I'll have plenty of time
to "rest" once I get to the rest home when vacation continues
uninterrupted. Relaxation isn't what it used to be.
TOPIC: Dog days of summer…

It's pretty hot. My favorite squeaky toy melted earlier today.
I'm thinking I may have to get a short haircut to keep my cool.
Dogs can't sweat you know. We have to hang out the tongue and
pant. You do too much of that and humans start thinking you're ill
and talk about wanting to take you to the vet. I don't think the
vet can cure hot. Some humans are so stupid.

Obituary...
A woman goes into the local newspaper office to see that the obituary
for her recently deceased husband is published. After the editor
informs her that the fee for the obituary is 50 cents a word, she
pauses, reflects and then says, "Well, then, let it read 'Fred Brown
died'."
Confounded at the woman's thrift, the editor stammers that there is a
7-word minimum for all obituaries. The woman pauses again, counts
on her fingers and replies, "In that case," she said, " 'Fred Brown
died: 1983 Pick-up for sale'."
