Tis The Season...
Christmas Past:
In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians
called it "Christmas" and went to church; the Jews called it "Hanukka"
and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank.
People passing each other on the street would say things like "Merry
Christmas!" or "Happy Hanukka!" or, in the case of the atheists, "Look
out for the wall!"

Merry Christmas

Christmas Carols
St Francis of Assisi introduced Christmas Carols to formal church
services.
The word comes from the ancient Greek choros, which means "dancing in a
circle,"
and
From the Old French word carole, meaning "a song to accompany dancing"
